Alex educates and advises young professionals and the next generation of Sequoia's clients to manage their wealth with purpose. Whether their lives and goals are clear-cut or more complicated, she applies her skills as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional to create a financial plan and her positive energy to help drive the plan into action. Alex is passionate about her clients’ success and it is her goal to be by their side throughout all the planning stages of their financial lives.
Alex began her advisory career working with traditional clients on retirement planning. In 2012, while continuing with her general wealth management practice she joined the team at Special Needs Financial Planning, having seen first-hand the positive impact planning had for her family and brother James, who has Down Syndrome. Inspired by her family’s leadership in advocacy, she presents educational workshops to families and organizations throughout Massachusetts as well as at conferences on the state and national level. She has been featured and quoted in the media on this topic.
Alex is an active participant in several organizations and fundraisers designed to benefit individuals with disabilities. She is the former President and current Vice President of the Massachusetts Guardianship Association (MGA) and is on the board of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) local Citizens Advisory Board as well as the area liaison to the Massachusetts Statewide Advisory Council. In addition, she was selected to be a part of the DDS initiative in Creating a CommonWealth.
Aside from community service, Alex enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, photography, and the beaches north of Boston.
Fun fact: Be prepared; know that if you are taking a meal with Alex, she may pull a bottle of hot sauce from her purse.
